“You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly.”
Chad's Road Trip
Let's make this easy... Short sentences and to the point for those of you who don't know Chad.
Sarcastic. OK, maybe I should have said SARCASTIC!!! Adventurous. A Desert Rat. Devilish. Excellent Driver. Handsome. Joker. Strong. Truly a Charger. Harsh. Clean Cut (Hahahahahaha - OK, maybe not). Helpful. Provider. Protective. Hero. Accomplished. Down-to-earth. Unconventional. Did I mention A Desert Rat? Self-Confident. Entertaining. Practical. Generous. Brilliant. Funny. Cocky. Hard Working. Sexy (Sorry if that made you throw up a little.). Driven. Tall. Smart. Brave. The Heart of a Vagabond. Efficient. Dependable. Loyal. Reliable. Great Friend. Sensitive (Now, now... no snickers or comments from any of you. It's true, it's really true.) Powerful. Daring. Supportive.
I have to stop... before I get carried away. Hehehe. :) This is, in a nutshell, Chad.
A large nutshell though, he is hard to forget.
Ann's Adventure
I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa (hot, humid, corn, pigs and cows - no, NOT potatoes). With great enthusiasm I moved to Southern California at the tender, quite rebelious age of 15ish. Once here, things became clearer. The ocean. The mountains. The desert. The people. The concerts. Yeah... I was where I belonged.
"... Welcome to the Hotel California... You can check out any time you like, but you can NEVER leave."
I've lived in California over twice the amount of time I spent in Iowa. But, Iowa was, and will always be my first home. My family and the memories forged there bring me peace and provide roots that transcend time and distance. Many of my dearest friends that I made in my youth are, thankfully, still my friends.
But, California has been long since become my happy place. And, it just so happens, Chad lives here. I think I'll stay where he is.
